Kansas Football To Hold Two Open Spring Practices

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas head football coach Mark Mangino has announced that two of the Jayhawks’ Spring football practices will be open to the public.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>
Fans will have the opportunity to watch last year’s FedEx Orange Bowl champions practice on Friday, March 14 and again on Friday, April 4. Practices will take place on the team’s practice field, west of the baseball stadium, pending weather, and begin at 3:30 p.m. each day.
The annual Spring game will be held at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 12 and is also free to the public. Kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
The Jayhawks will practice 15 times between March 12 and the Spring game.
In addition, the public celebration of last year’s football team will take place at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. That event is also free to the public.
