Kansas’ win over Missouri…

…improves the Jayhawks to 24-5 overall and 13-1 in the Big 12. KU’s 13 conference victories mark the fourth-straight and 20th time in school history that KU has won at least 13 conference games.

…improves the Jayhawks to 1967-790 all-time and 632-106 at Allen Fieldhouse in 54 years.

…improves their all-time series lead against Missouri to 167-94 overall, 18-8 in the Big 12 era, and 86-33 in Lawrence.

…increases their home court winning streak at Allen Fieldhouse to 40 consecutive games.

Game Notes

-Kansas used the starting lineup of Sherron Collins, Tyshawn Taylor, Brady Morningstar, Marcus Morris and Cole Aldrich for the 17th time this season. The Jayhawks are 14-3 using this starting five.

-Kansas’ 26 point halftime lead (45-19) was the team’s second largest halftime lead of the season. The Jayhawks led Florida Gulf Coast by 32 (45-13) at halftime for their largest lead of the season on Nov. 18, 2008.

-The Tigers 20.5% shooting in the first half was the lowest for a conference opponent since Colorado shot 17.9% in the first half on Jan. 25, 2004.

-The Tigers shot 35.7% from the field on the game marking the 68th-consecutive game that the Jayhawks have held their opponent to under 50% shooting. It marks the 19th time this season that Kansas has held an opponent to under 40% shooting, including 10 of their 14 Big 12 opponents.

-Missouri was 0-9 from behind the arc in the first half, the last time a Jayhawk opponent went with out a three-point field goal in a half was on Feb 4, 2008.

-Kansas’ bench outscored the Tigers’ bench by 19 points (25-6).

-Sherron Collins scored 25 points to mark the 27th time he has scored in double figures this season. Collins has now scored 20 or more points in four straight games. Collins’ 25 points move him past Aaron Miles into 33rd place on the career scoring list with 1,205 career points.

-Cole Aldrich recorded his 17th double-double of the season with 19 points and 14 rebounds. In Aldrich’s last five games, he has shot 62.7% (37-59) and has averaged 19 points and 12.8 rebounds.

-Kansas’ 22 assists tie its second highest total of the season and are the most since they recorded 25 against Tennessee on Jan. 3, 2009.

-Kansas’ 90 points mark its highest point total of the season in Big 12 play and the fourth highest of the season.

-Missouri’s 70 field goal attempts set an opponent high for this season, besting the previous high of 67 by Siena on Jan. 6, 2009. The Tigers’ 70 attempts were the most attempts by a Kansas opponent since Baylor put up 72 shots on Feb. 9, 2008.

-KU out-rebounded Missouri 94-60 in the two games against the Tigers this season.

-Today marked the 54th anniversary of the opening of Allen Fieldhouse on March 1, 1955.
