The win at the All-American marked the second victory of the year for the Jayhawks. Senior Gary Woodland also claimed his second individual victory of the year at the event. Fellow senior Tyler Docking was able to finish in second place. Both Woodland and Docking will be back in action at the Louisiana Classics.

“This should be a very interesting tournament for us considering all the illness our team is currently dealing with,” said head coach Ross Randall. “We had to make two lineup changes within the last few days. The only good thing going for us is we do have a few days before we have to get started to start feeling better. Hopefully we can have a nice tournament coming off our win last week and start feeling better as well.”

Freshman Patrick Roth will be try to build off his 27th place finish at the All-American in next week’s event. Freshman Bobby Knowles and junior Joey Mundy will round out the lineup card for the Jayhawks. Freshman David Cosel will compete as an individual for the second consecutive tournament.

The Jayhawks will be joined at the Louisiana Classics by a solid field that includes third-ranked Lamar. The Jayhawks edged Lamar by one stroke at the All-American for the victory. Big 12 rivals Baylor and Colorado will also be competing in the event.
