Jayhawks Head to Arizona for Duramed Collegiate Invitational
RIO VERDE, Ariz. – After two weeks off since its last event, Kansas women’s golf travels to the desert March 6-8 to compete in the Duramed Collegiate Invitational at Rio Verde in Rio Verde, Ariz. Previously known as the East/West Rio Verde Invitational, the event is in its seventh year and features a tournament-high 20 teams.
This will be the Jayhawks’ second event of the spring season as the team looks to improve off of a 13th place finish at the Central District Invitational two weeks ago. Junior Emily Powers led the team at the event, shooting a 230 over two days to finish tied for 29th place.
The Duramed Collegiate Invitational – hosted by Western Michigan – is being held at the par-71, 6,260 yard Quail Run Course at Rio Verde Country Club. Teams will play 18 holes each of the three days with tee-times set for 8 a.m. each round.
