Posey, who has served as an assistant at Kansas for the past eight seasons, coached for the Blue Valley Northwest High School volleyball team from 1993-99, where she compiled an impressive overall record of 233-62 (79.0 percent). During her tenure, Posey helped guide her teams to two state championships, including an undefeated 44-0 season in 1997, three third place state finishes, as well as a fourth and fifth place finish. From 1997-98, the volleyball team won 49-straight matches. In addition to her teams’ successes, nine players under Posey went on to play at the collegiate level.

“I am extremely honored to be a member of the inaugural class,” said Posey. “It was also very special to be inducted with one of my former athletes, Christie Ambrosi. While at Blue Valley Northwest, I was fortunate to receive great support from the community, work with outstanding athletes and have an administrative team that valued athletics.”

In addition to her role with Kansas volleyball, Posey has been involved with club volleyball in the Kansas City area for the past 10 years with Team KC as a head coach, and has served the past two years as its director.

The Husky Hall of Fame is comprised of former BVNW athletes, coaches and staff who, after excelling at a national or equivalent level of high school achievements, have continued past high school with their pursuit of excellence in athletics.
