Position Title: Assistant Athletics Director

Starting Date: On or before June 1, 2006

Appointment: Full time

Salary: $57,000 – $65,000

Duties: Responsible for the coordination of various aspects of the compliance program including daily implementation and administration, educational programming, rules interpretation to ensure compliance with NCAA, conference and institutional rules and regulations. Research, prepare and edit various waivers, appeals and reports.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years experience at a NCAA D-1 institution, well-defined NCAA athletics experience involving rules, compliance and interpretations; broad range of knowledge regarding the application of NCAA rules; strong computer experience working with Cai, LSDBi, Microsoft Word, and Excel software, excellent organizational skills, effective verbal and written communications skills. Must be team and service oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

Preferred: Masters Degree in Sports Administration or comparable experience and training operating within the NCAA governing body system.
