Lawrence, Kan. — Kansas diving will send three divers to the NCAA Zone “D” Regional Diving Meet March 10-12, in Columbia, Mo. Senior Robyn Karlage, senior Casey Topol and junior Shelby Noonan qualified for the meet behind their strong individual performances during the 2005-06 season.

Noonan, a Edmond, Okla., native is the only qualifier to be making a return to the Regional meet. During her freshman campaign, Noonan placed 12th in both the one-meter and three-meter competitions with scores of 453.73 and 418.40, respectively.

“Shelby has a lot of experience and has a great shot at making the NCAA’s if she dives to her potential,” Elliott said.

Karlage, an Edgewood, Ky., native will be making her first appearance at the Regional meet.

“Robyn has had an amazing year scoring in her first conference meet and qualifying for Zones, I hope she dives her best meet ever,” head diving coach Eric Elliott said.

Topol, a Mamaroneck, N.Y., native will also dive for the first time at the meet.

“This is Casey’s first Zone meet, and if she can rise to the occasion there is nothing stopping her,” Elliott said.
