LAWRENCE, Kan. — The KU tennis team will return home this weekend to face Big 12-foe Nebraska on Saturday and Louisville on Sunday.

The Jayhawks are coming off an impressive 6-1 triumph over conference-rival Iowa State last weekend. Notching singles victories for KU were junior Elizaveta Avdeeva, freshman Kunigunda Dorn, sophomore Edina Horvath, sophomore Yuliana Svistun and junior Stephanie Smith.
The `Hawks also swept all three doubles contests, which included a win from its No. 1 tandem of Avdeeva and Horvath. Their win improved the duo’s Big 12 record to 3-0, which is tied for the conference lead in the No. 1 position.
Overall, KU sits at 3-8, 1-2 on the season, while Nebraska comes in 6-4, 1-3 and Louisville currently boasts a 4-10 mark, including 2-1 in the Big East.
Kansas faced each of these squads last season, defeating Louisville, 4-3, on Feb. 18 and falling to Nebraska, 4-3, on April 5 in Lincoln.
Should weather become a problem on either day, play will be moved indoors to First Serve.
