Kansas Baseball Suspended Due to Lightning
March 7, 2009
LAWRENCE, Kan. –
Due to thunderstorms in the Lawrence area, the Jayhawks have suspended their baseball game with Northwestern Saturday night. The game will resume in the bottom of the third inning Sunday at 10:30 a.m., at Hoglund Ballpark. Fans can gain admission to the suspended game by showing their ticket stubs from Saturday night’s game at the gate.
Kansas led the game 2-1 in the bottom of the third inning with one out when there was a flash of lightning that delayed the game for over 40 minutes.
The Jayhawks and Wildcats will finish the third game of the four-game series tomorrow morning, before beginning the final contest approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game.
