Kansas Baseball Alters Weekend Schedule

March 7, 2013

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Due to rain in the forecast for the Lawrence area on Saturday, Kansas baseball has changed its four-game series with Niagara. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning and 2 p.m., and try to finish the series on Saturday at 1 p.m. Should the thunderstorms hit, the teams will complete the four-game set on Sunday at noon.

This marks the third straight weekend that weather has forced the Jayhawks to change their schedule. KU had to move its two previous weekend series to alternate locations due to heavy snowfall.

The Jayhawks and Purple Eagles will open their four-game series this afternoon at 3 p.m., at Hoglund Ballpark.
