Kansas Tied For Seventh At "Mo"morial

BRYAN, Texas –

The University of Kansas women’s golf team is currently in a tie for seventh place, in an 18-team field, after one round of the Texas A&M “Mo”morial. The Jayhawks shot a first round total of 321 at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas.

Texas A&M leads the tournament after an opening round of 306, followed by Arkansas with a 307.

“The course is playing very difficult, especially with the wind we had today,” head coach Erin O’Neil said. “We just need to play consistent golf and I think we can finish the last two rounds with very solid scores.”

Senior Chelsey Pryor and junior Amanda Costner are currently in a tie for 13th after rounds of 78. Sophomore Annie Giangrosso carded an 81 and is tied for 41st. Senior Meredith Winkelmann shot an 84 and is in a tie for 59th. Sophomore Sarah Kierl is tied for 94th after a 93.
