Kansas To Meet South Florida In Football On A Friday Night

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Kansas’ football game at the University of South Florida next fall has been moved from Saturday, Sept. 13, to Friday, Sept. 12. It will be televised on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. CST.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

The ESPN2 appearance will be KU’s first regular-season, non-conference game on national television since a matchup at Toledo in September 2006. That game was televised on ESPN2.

Kansas played two Big 12 games on the ESPN networks last season – at Colorado on ESPN Oct. 20 and at Texas A&M on ESPN2 the following week.

The Jayhawks will open the 2008 season with home games against Florida International (August 30) and Louisiana Tech (Sept. 6) before playing at South Florida. KU will return home to host SamHoustonState on Sept. 20 before a bye week.
