Kansas' Proehl Finishes Sixth on First Day of NCAA Zones

COLLEGE STATION, Texas –

Senior diver Meghan Proehl placed sixth in the one-meter diving competition on the first day of the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. The San Diego, Calif. native finished with a 12-dive score of 538.90 points.

The competition had 42 divers, with 18 qualifying for the event finals. Proehl completed the preliminary round in ninth, before jumping to a sixth place finish.

NCAA Championship qualifiers will be announced at the end of the three-day competition.
