Kansas Softball Overnight Camp Information

KU Softball’s Overnight Camp is for any player between the ages of 12 and 18 that wish to enhance their softball skills and their overall knowledge of the game. Offensive and defensive fundamentals and techniques will be covered along with pitching, catching, slapping and short game.

Campers will be divided into teams for scrimmages and other team related activities. Campers will have the opportunity to work with the Kansas Softball coaching staff including head coach Tracy Bunge and assistant coaches Jen Sewell and Christi Musser. Current KU players will also be involved throughout the camp along with other local college and high school coaches.

Check Out: July 11 at 8:00 PM

Resident Camper: $350.00

Commuter: $300.00

Registration

Registration can be done online at http://eteamz.active.com/KansasSoftball/ or by printing off the registration sheet from the same website. The deadline for registration is no later than June 10, 2007. A $20.00 fee will be added to all registrations received after June 20th. Registration must be mailed with full payment or a deposit of $100.00 along with a copy of the campers insurance card and a waiver that can be printed off the KU Softball website. The balance of the fee must be paid in full no later than June 10, 2007. Each participant much have on file: a copy of medical insurance card, doctor’s physical, and a signed liability waiver. The liability waiver can be printed off the Kansas Softball website. Checks can be made payable to KU Softball Camps and Clinics. Please mail registration and payment to:

What to Bring

Campers should bring blankets, sheets, a pillow, towels, and toiletries. All necessary softball equipment must be provided by the camper which includes: cleats, glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, all catcher gear (if applicable), and knee pads. A $20.00 key deposit will be required at check in.

Housing and Food

All resident campers will be housed and fed at McCollum Hall. All day campers will be provided lunch and dinner at McCollum Hall. The hall will be supervised at all times by camp staff staying at the hall.
