Kansas' Proehl Completes Final Day of NCAA Zones

COLLEGE STATION, Texas –

Kansas senior Meghan Proehl finished 16th in the platform diving competition on the final day of the three-day NCAA Zone D Championships. Proehl scored 192.95 points through five dives.

The San Diego, Calif. native qualified for the NCAA Championships through her strong performance in the one-meter diving competition on day one. Proehl placed sixth on the one-meter board with a 12-dive score of 538.90. The senior captain also competed in the three-meter dive on the second day of the meet, landing in 19th place with a six-dive score of 261.45.

Proehl will join junior swimmer Iuliia Kuzhil at the national competition. Kuzhil qualified for the national meet at the Big 12 Championships on Feb. 26 with a Kansas record-breaking time of 52.80 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke.
