Ex-KU Golfer Woodland Featured in USA Today

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Former KU golfer Gary Woodland is featured in the Thursday, March 15 edition of USA Today previewing the PGA Tour Transitions Championship, which Woodland won in 2011.

Woodland competed at Kansas from 2004-07 and was a two-time All-Big 12 selection during his time as a Jayhawk. Last year on the PGA Tour, Woodland posted six top-10 finishes and finished the regular season 11th on the FedEx Cup points list. Additionally, Woodland won the World Cup with teammate Matt Kuchar, becoming the first American team to claim the trophy since 2000.
