Jayhawks in 13th After Round One at Betsy Rawls Invite

AUSTIN, Texas –

The University of Kansas women’s golf team is tied for 13th place with Texas’ “B” team after a round one score of 323 Friday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas.

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Texas is in first place with a 15-over-par 303 at The University of Texas Golf Club (6,323 yards, par 72).

Senior Amanda Costner is tied for 32nd place with a seven-over 79. Junior Annie Giangrosso and freshman Camilla Svenssion are both tied for 46th place at 9-over-par (81) after one round. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Freshmen Meghan Gockel and Emily Powers both carded an 82 in the first round to tie for 54th place.

Texas’ Kelley Louth is first individually with a three-under-par 69 after round one.

Round two will tee-off Saturday at 8:15 a.m., while Sunday’s final round will shotgun at 9:15 a.m.
