LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas’ women’s swimming team was recognized with College Swimming Coaches Association Scholar All-American Team honors for the 2009 Fall semester Tuesday.

To earn CSCAA Scholar All-American team honors, a swimming team must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA for the semester. Teams are selected and honored twice a year, once after each semester.

As a team, Kansas averaged a 3.03 GPA for the Fall 2009 semester. Thirteen members of the swimming and diving team were named to the First or Second Academic All-Big 12 Teams last month. KU was only one of two Big 12 teams to be honored by the CSCAA, as Texas A&M also received recognition.
