Game Two of Border Showdown Series Postponed to Sunday Doubleheader

March 17, 2012

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Severe lightning and thunderstorms have postponed the second game of the Kansas-Missouri series to a Sunday doubleheader beginning at noon.

Kansas (20-3) snapped its program-record 20-game win streak against No. 12 Missouri (18-3) in the series opener Friday night. Game two was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. until a one-hour delay was announced on Saturday, which eventually resulted in the cancellation.

This marks the fourth rainout of the season and the seventh game to be altered by weather in the 2012 campaign. Weather updates and any further delays can be found on KUAthletics.com or by following JayhawkSoftball on Twitter.
