Kansas Travels to Hilton Head for Three Non-Conference Matches

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Kansas women’s tennis team takes a break from league play this week as it heads to Hilton Head, S.C., to face a trio of non-conference opponents.
The Jayhawks will play New Jersey Institute of Technology on Wednesday at 3 p.m., followed by matches on Thursday against Georgia Southern (11:30 a.m.) and Friday against Bethune-Cookman (8 a.m.).
NJIT is 8-4 on the season with losses to Dartmouth, Akron, Buffalo and Harvard. Georgia Southern is 5-7 in 2012, while Bethune-Cookman stands at 11-8 in dual play this year.
Kansas moved back into the ITA Women’s Division I Rankings this week, climbing to No. 68 despite its loss to Oklahoma, 5-2, a week ago. The Jayhawks are 5-3 on the season.
