Kansas In First At 2006 Ron Moore Invitational

GOODYEAR, Ariz. –

The University of Kansas men’s golf team is in first place, in a 17-team field, after two rounds of the 2006 Ron Moore Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz. Kansas shot an opening round of 279 and followed that up with a 275 at the par-72 Palm Valley GC.

Senior Pete Krsnich is tied for fifth after opening rounds of 69 and 66. Junior Gary Woodland shot a first round of 71 followed by a 67 and is tied for 11th. Senior Luke Trammell is tied for 23th after rounds of 72 and 69. Junior Tyler Docking is tied for 26th after posting rounds of 69 and 73. Junior Barrett Martens is tied for 54th after rounds of 70 and 76.

The players will begin third round action tomorrow at 8 a.m. Central Time.
