The third place finish marks the fifth top-10 finish of the year for Docking. Docking’s second place finish at the All-American Golf Classic marks his best finish of the year.

“Tyler Docking really turned in a good finish for us,” head coach Ross Randall said. “We had some good scores this week, but Gary Woodland struggled this week and any time your No. 1 player doesn’t play his best it is hard to compete in a tournament. I was glad we were able to move up the leaderboard a little bit today.”

Junior Joey Mundy concluded a solid tournament of play finishing tied for 17th with 217 strokes. The finish marks Mundy’s best finish of the year. Senior Gary Woodland finished the tournament with 227 strokes and tied for 61st place. Sophomore Walt Koelbel shot his best round of the tournament in the final round shooting a 74 to finish tied for 74th. Sophomore Zach Pederson ended the tournament with 231 strokes and finished tied for 78th.

Purdue was able to take home the team title by shooting a three-round total of 849 and bested second place California by 15 strokes. John Streibich of Xavier was able to capture the individual title. Streibich beat Kansas senior Tyler Docking by eight strokes.

The Jayhawks will next be in action on March 26-27 when they travel to Stevinson Ranch Golf Club to compete in the Stevinson Ranch Intercollegiate.
