Jayhawks to Face Villanova in NCAA Sweet 16 in Detroit at Approximately 9:40 p.m. (EST) Friday

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags” />LAWRENCE, Kan. – NCAA Championship Midwest Regional top seed Kansas will face No. 12 seed Villanova at approximately 9:40 p.m. (Eastern) at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday, March 28.
The Jayhawks (33-3) and Wildcats (22-12) will be the second game of the Detroit regional on Friday as No. 3 Wisconsin will face No. 10 Davidson at 7:10 p.m.
Kansas is making its second straight and 25th overall Sweet 16 appearance. Last year the Jayhawks advanced to the regional final before falling to UCLA in San Jose, Calif.
On Thursday, March 27, Kansas will have an open practice at Ford Field from 3:10-4 p.m. (Eastern).
