ATHENS, Ga. — Kansas women’s golf returns to action March 27-29 as the Jayhawks head to Athens, Ga. to compete in the 37th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the par 72, 6,335 yard UGA Golf Course. The team looks to continue their strong spring campaign after notching a first place finish two weeks ago at the Duramed Collegiate Invitational in Arizona.

“We are looking forward to playing at Georgia,” said head coach Erin O’Neil. “I think the win in Arizona was a great confidence boost and we are looking to continue to build on that.”

Kansas joins Oklahoma State as the only two Big 12 schools in the 18-team field. The tournament features five teams currently ranked in the Golfweek.com top ten, as well as ten teams in the top 25.

Tee-time for Friday’s opening round is set for 9 a.m. Live scoring of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic can be found at golfstat.com, or check back to kuathletics.com for results and a complete recap following the conclusion of each round.
