TUCSON, Ariz.—Kansas women’s golf is in 17th place following the first two rounds of the MountainView Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday.

Junior Katy Nugent and senior Meghna Bal are tied for 58th to lead the Jayhawks. Both shot a 76 in the first round and a 78 in the second round to finish with a 154 after the first day.

Meghan Potee and Thanuttra Boonraksasat are six spots back as the freshmen each shot a 36-hole 155 on the first day.

After carding a 77 and 80 in the first and second rounds, senior Grace Thiry is tied for 72nd.

The Jayhawks will compete in the final round on Saturday.
