Women's Golf In Fifth At Mountain View Collegiate

CATALINA, Ariz. –

The University of Kansas women’s golf team is currently in fifth place at the Mountain View Collegiate in Catalina, Ariz. The Jayhawks shot back-to-back- rounds of 297 for a 594 total.

Denver leads the tournament with a 591, followed by Northwestern, Missouri and Nebraska who are tied for second.

Senior Chelsey Pryor is tied for third after a 70 and 73 gave her a 143 total. Sophomore Annie Giangrosso is tied for fifth after cardng a 73 and 71 for a 144. Junior Amanda Costner is tied for 30th after back-to-back rounds of 76 gave her a 152. Senior Meredith Winkelmann shot a 77 and 78 for a 155 and is in a tie for 47th. Sophomore Sarah Kierl is in 78th after rounds of 85 and 84 gave her a 169.

The Jayhawks will begin final round action on Sunday, at 9 a.m. Central time.
