March 26, 2009

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

CBS College Sports – a national cable network – announced Thursday that it will televise the Kansas-Creighton game on Tuesday, April 14 live from Rosenblatt Stadium. This marks the second KU baseball game that will be picked up by a national cable station.

It also marks the second time in as many seasons that a Kansas game was picked up by CBS College Sports (Channel 143 on Sunflower Broadband; Channel 235 in HD). Last season, KU upset then-No. 9 Nebraska on April 20 in a game shown on the cable network devoted to college athletics.

KU’s other nationally televised game this season will be Sunday, May 17 when it plays host to in-state rival Kansas State.

The Jayhawks travel to College Station, Texas this weekend for a three-game series with No. 13 Texas A&M. First pitch in the series-opener Friday is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
