Kansas In 15th At Western Intercollegiate

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. –

The University of Kansas men’s golf team is in 15 place, in a 16-team field, after one round of the 60th Annual Western Intercollegiate. Kansas shot an opening round of 303 at the par 70, 6,432-yard Pasatiempo Golf Course. The second round was postponed due to rain and hail until Tuesday, March 28 and will now be shortened to 36 holes.

Duke is in first after posting a score of 284, followed by UC-Santa Barbara and Stanford with a 289.

Senior Pete Krsnich shot a first round of 74 and is tied for 30th. Junior Gary Woodland and junior Luke Trammell are tied for 45th with a pair of 76’s. Senior Luke Trammell is tied for 53rd after a round of 77. Sophomore Joey Mundy shot a 78 and is tied for 64th.

The players will begin final round action tomorrow at 10 a.m. Central Time.
