Kansas to Host "Jayhawks for a Cure" Regatta Against Texas Saturday

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas rowing will host Texas in a regatta this Saturday, April 2, at Wyandotte County Lake in Kansas City, Kan. The regatta will begin with the Second Novice Eight race at 9:45 a.m., and conclude with the First Varsity Eight race at 11 a.m.

The regatta also marks the “Jayhawks for a Cure” Pink Event. Both teams will wear pink uniforms for the regatta. Additionally a table will be available for fans to make donations with all proceeds benefitting Lawrence Memorial Hospital Breast Center and the KU Med Cancer Center.

Kansas enters the regatta after winning three events in the Sunday racing session of the Oklahoma Invitational March 12-13.

Following the regatta against Texas, KU will travel to Camden, N.J., for the Knecht Cup April 9-10 before hosting a regatta against Kansas State and the Big 12 Rowing Championship later in April.

Leaving airport go North on 29, take Exit 17 (435 South) Topeka

Follow to stop sign and you will be at the regatta parking area.

Coming from I-70 East or West:

I-70 to 435 North (Exit 411)
