Perry Ellis to Play in McDonald's All-American Game

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas signee Perry Ellis will compete in the 35th annual McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball game on Wednesday, March 28, at 8:30 pm inside the United Center in Chicago. The game will be televised by ESPN.

Ellis is a four-time Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year, while leading his Wichita Heights team to four-straight 6A State Championships. The 6-foot-8, 220 pound forward passed former KU center Greg Dreiling as the all-time leading scorer in Wichita City League history earlier this season. Dreiling’s record stood for 31 years at 1,888 career points.

Ellis is the 32nd Jayhawk to be named a McDonald’s All-American and ninth under head coach Bill Self. Ellis signed his letter of intent to play his college basketball at KU on Nov. 9, 2011.
