Kansas Falls to Kansas State, 7-0

WAMEGO, Kan. –

Senior Kunigunda Dorn and freshman Sara Lazarevic won a thrilling doubles match at the No. 2 doubles spot, but the Kansas tennis team fell 7-0 to its in-state rival in Wamego, Kan. on Wednesday.

The setback dropped the Jayhawks to 9-8 overall and 1-4 in Big 12 play, while the Wildcats improved to 5-8 overall and 2-3 in Big 12 play.

Sophomores Ekaterina Morozova and Erin Wilbert challenged their opponents to three sets in singles play, but could not finish out on top in the third.

KU will look to bounce back when it travels to Columbia, Mo. to take on Missouri on Friday, April 9.
