Danielle McCray Named Honorable Mention All-America By Associated Press

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas junior guard-forward Danielle McCray was tabbed an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press Tuesday. McCray, who leads the Jayhawks with 21.2 points per game, is the first Kansas player to be recognized by the organization since Lynn Pride in 1999.

McCray, who earned First Team All-Big 12 honors this season, currently leads KU in points (21.2), rebounds (7.9), three-point field goals made (76), three-point field goal percentage (.434), free throws made (134), blocks (32) and steals (48). In addition, she leads the Big 12 Conference in three-point field goal percentage and ranks second in scoring and three-point field goals made.

McCray and her Kansas teammates host Illinois State Wednesday, April 1, in the WNIT Semifinals. Game time is slated for 7 p.m., in Allen Fieldhouse.
