Kansas Softball Announces Bark In the Park

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Arrocha Ballpark to cheer on the Jayhawks as Kansas Softball hosts Bark in the Park Sunday, April 15 at noon for its game against Texas A&M. The price of admission for fans is $6 for adults and $3 for youth. Dogs will be admitted with a donation to the Lawrence Humane Society.

Items acceptable for donation to the Lawrence Humane Society include:

Cat Litter (non-clumping)
Rabbit/Ferret Food
Blankets/Towels (new or used)
Dog and Cat Toys (new or used)
Laundry Detergent
Dish Soap
Paper Towels
Stainless Steel Bowls
Dual Plastic Cat Dishes
Copy Paper
Photo Paper (8.5 x 11″)
Polaroid Instant Film
Can Openers
Blow Dryers
Animal Crates
Dog & Cat Collars
Blenders
Dog Houses (new or used)
Volunteers
Cash

Those fans looking to adopt a pet are also encouraged to attend. The Lawrence Humane Society will be on hand with dogs that are in need of new homes. Following the game, fans will receive a Bark in the Park frisbee.
