Boonraksasat Shines as Kansas Women's Golf takes Ninth Place at Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY, Miss.—Kansas women’s golf, led by freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat for the second straight tournament, finished ninth at the Ole Miss Rebel Challenge in University, Miss., on Sunday. The Jayhawks’ ninth place finish is the team’s eighth top 10 finish of the season.
Boonraksasat carded a 54-hole career best 217, which was just four strokes out of first place, for the tournament after shooting a 71 in the final round and tying for fourth individually. Her fourth place finish is also a career best.
Junior Katy Nugent tied for 39th with a 54-hole 230. Nugent fired a 77 on Sunday.
Grace Thiry tied for 64th as the senior carded a 77 in the final round to finish at 235 for the tournament. Fellow senior Meghna Bal fired a 240 over three rounds to tie for 77th.
Freshman Meghan Potee shot an 81 in the final round to finish at 242 strokes for the tournament and tied for 80th.
Kansas will wrap the regular season at the Baylor Spring Invitational in Waco, Texas, April 11 and 12.
