Kansas-Wichita State Doubleheader to Air on Metro Sports

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Both games of the midweek doubleheader Kansas softball is set to host against Wichita State will broadcast live on Kansas City cable station Metro Sports, Wednesday, April 11 from Arrocha Ballpark.

Game one between the Jayhawks and the visiting Shockers is scheduled for 5 p.m. with the nightcap slated to start at approximately 7 p.m. The televised games mark the first since the Jayhawks’ 2006 Big 12 Championship season when Kansas played host to rival Missouri on April 19, 2006.

For fans unable to make it to Arrocha Ballpark for the Wednesday night matchup, Metro Sports will broadcast the in-state rivalry series that dates back to 1978. Kansas holds the all-time series advantage, 67-17. The Jayhawks have won seven of their last eight meetings with the Shockers.

Kansas will travel to Waco, Texas to square off against No. 22/25 Baylor in a three-game series, April 6-7. The Jayhawks and Bears will play a doubleheader on Friday at 4/6 p.m. and wrap up the series on Saturday at 11 a.m.
