Kansas Soccer Falls in Exhibition, 2-0

April 4, 2010

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –

Arkansas scored a pair of first half goals to knock off Kansas soccer, 2-0, in a spring exhibition match at Razorback Field Saturday.

“I didn’t think we competed very well today,” Kansas Head Coach Mark Francis said. “We didn’t connect very well, or create many opportunities (to score). We’re going to have to improve our level of play this spring.”

The Razorbacks scored first on an own goal, when a shot was deflected off a Kansas defender and into the net. Then later in the half, Arkansas put the game away with a goal on a header.

Kansas will look to bounce back next Saturday when it faces Saint Louis University in an exhibition match at Community America Stadium in Kansas City, Kan. – the home of the Major League Soccer’s Kansas City Wizards. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
