April 5, 2005

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Wednesday’s baseball contest between the University of Kansas and in-state rival Wichita State has been selected to be televised live in both the Kansas City and Wichita areas.

The game will be broadcast on Metro Sports in Kansas City while viewers in the Wichita area will be able to catch the game on Cox Cable.

In addition to the April 6 Wichita State contest, Metro Sports will also air the contest between the Jayhawks and Kansas State on May 1.

ESPN will be in town for KU’s three-game series with the Texas Longhorns on May 6-8. The first two games of the series, which are slated for 6 p.m. will be shown live on ESPNU. Sunday’s series finale will be featured live on ESPN with a scheduled first pitch at noon, unless the NBA playoff series being held at that time is extended to a seventh game, in which case the Kansas-Texas game will be shown on tape-delay on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
