The chilly playing conditions did little to stall the Jayhawks’ offense, which produced several scoring chances. Boyer, who tallied two assists during her freshman season, finished the first opportunity to give KU a 1-0 advantage at the halftime break.

Early in the second half, Dolinsky put the Jayhawks up 2-0. KU had several more opportunities to score than the visiting Lady Blues, even hitting the crossbar twice.

“We missed a lot of opportunities today, that’s something we need to work on in our last two games of the spring,” KU head coach Mark Francis said. “Overall I thought we played well, we just need to work on finishing the ball.”

KU will play conference rival Nebraska April 14 at 4 p.m., in Lincoln, Neb., before completing its spring schedule at home against Nebraska-Omaha.
