LUBBOCK, Texas –

LUBBOCK, Texas – On a windy day in Lubbock, the Kansas women’s tennis dropped its second match of the weekend as it fell, 4-2, to Texas Tech Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped KU to 3-5 in Big 12 action and 8-10 on the season. Due to the windy conditions, the two teams did not play doubles matches, but moved straight to singles competition. Despite wins from Erin Wilbert and Maria Martinez, the Jayhawks couldn’t pull off the necessary four points to win the match. The Red Raiders took matches at the first four singles positions. Kansas has a quick turnaround as it hosts Kansas State on Wednesday, April 8 at 3 p.m. at First Serve Tennis Center.
