LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The two-day, three-round tournament, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, will begin with a shotgun start on Sunday at 8 a.m. followed by a second round; Monday’s final round will also begin with a shotgun at 8 a.m.

“Our plan is to go down to OU and try to build on our recent success,” head coach Erin O’Neil said. “It’s a good course for us as well as a decent field. We will take it one shot at a time and see what happens.

The Jayhawks will compete in an 18-team field including: Arkansas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Cameron, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, Redlands Community College, SMU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTEP, Wichita State and Wisconsin.

Senior Amanda Costner, junior Annie Giangrosso and freshmen Meghan Gockel, Camilla Svensson and Emily Powers will represent the Jayhawks. Sophomore Jaci Hiatt will compete unattached.

The Jayhawks last competed at the MountainView Collegiate placing fourth as a team. Freshman Emily Powers tied for seventh place with a final round total of 69. Her round was the best on the final day of the tournament and tied for the second-best in the event’s history.
