Kansas Baseball and Softball to Play For a Cure

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Later this month the University of Kansas baseball and softball teams will ‘Play For a Cure’ to raise money and awareness for cancer research and treatment at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the KU Cancer Center.

KU baseball will host Nebraska on Saturday, April 9 in its prostate cancer awareness game at Hoglund Ballpark. Fans wearing light blue will be admitted to the game for $3 while donations will be accepted to benefit LMH and KU Cancer Center. Fans at the game will also receive a free light blue Jayhawks For a Cure bracelet.

On Sunday, April 17, the Kansas softball team will hold its Pink in the Park game when it welcomes Baylor to Arrocha Ballpark. Fans who wear pink can get into the game for $3. Donations to LMH and KU Cancer Center will also be accepted. Several giveaways are planned for the game including pink bracelets and Jayhawk softball trading cards. Fans can stick around after the game for player autographs.
