Kansas Rowing Hopes for Seventh Straight Kansas Cup Win

The Kansas rowing team will compete against in-state rival Kansas State for the Kansas Cup at 9:00am on Saturday, April 9 in Manhattan, Kan. The Jayhawks will enter four boats total in the regatta: the 1st Varsity Eight, 2nd Varsity Eight, 1st Novice Eight and 2nd Novice Eight.

Last spring, the Jayhawks earned their sixth straight Kansas Cup victory defeating the K-State Wildcats 18-1 in Lawrence. Kansas beat out both Cincinnati and K-State for first place in the 1st Varisty Eight race, finishing in 6:16.3.

**Directions:
Take I-70 West to Exit 313 to Manhattan. Go across the Kansas River and stay in the right lane to Hwy. 24 (Tuttle Creek Blvd.) Go north on US 24/State 17 (Tuttle Creek Blvd.) for ~3.5 miles. Turn right on State 13 toward Tuttle Creek Dam, proceed across length of dam and spillway ~ 1.5 miles. Take first left toward Spillway Park. KSU boathouse is first left (see posted sign).
