Kansas Tennis Set to Travel to Missouri and Colorado

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Kansas tennis continues its road stretch as it travels to Missouri and Colorado for a pair of weekend matches. The Jayhawks will face the Tigers in Columbia, Mo. on Friday at 5 p.m. and the Buffaloes in Boulder, Colo. on Sunday at 11 a.m.

KU is coming off a 7-0 loss to in-state rival K-State, holds a 9-8 record overall and is 1-4 in Big 12 play.

At the No. 2 doubles spot, senior Kunigunda Dorn and freshman Sara Lazarevic boast a 5-4 record overall and have won the last two matches for the Jayhawks with wins over Iowa State and Kansas State.

Missouri enters the match 5-11 overall and 0-5 in Big 12 play. The Tigers are led by junior Mallory Weber at the No. 3 singles position, who has a 3-2 record in Big 12 play.

Colorado is 8-8 overall and 1-4 in the Big 12. The Buffaloes are led by Monica Milewski, who is one win away from breaking a school record for combined singles and doubles wins.

The Jayhawks will be back in action to host Oklahoma State on Friday, April 16 at the Jayhawk Tennis Facility. Match time is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
