Woodland Tied For 20th Heading Into Third Round Of Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Former Kansas golf standout Gary Woodland enters the third round of the Masters tied for 20th after shooting a one-over par 73 Friday. Woodland opened the first major of the season shooting a three-under par 69 Thursday.

Rory McIlroy leads the tournament with a 10-under par 134.

Woodland’s played the first six holes of his second round at one-under par. He carded five pars to go along with a birdie on the third hole. He made the first of two double-bogeys on the day on the seventh hole.

After his six on seven, he played the next four holes one under before finding trouble on the short par-three 12th and making his second double of the day. Unlike Thursday when he played the final six holes at six-under par, Woodland played the final six holes at one-under par to finish with a 73 and two-under for the tournament.

Woodland, who is paired with Phil Mickelson, will tee off at 11:55 a.m. Saturday.
