Kansas-Iowa Game Cancelled Wednesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Due to heavy rain in the Iowa City area overnight and during the afternoon hours Wednesday, Iowa has cancelled its Wednesday baseball game with Kansas, scheduled for 4 p.m. at Duane Banks Field. The game will not be made up.

Kansas earned an 8-3 victory over the Hawkeyes on Tuesday night, behind two hits from sophomore Michael Suiter and five strong innings by right-handed pitcher Robert Kahana.

The Jayhawks will return to Hoglund Ballpark to open a three-game series with Texas at 6 p.m., Friday. Fans can listen to the game live on KLWN Radio (1320 AM).
