Kansas to Compete at Southern IRA's

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.- After two weeks of back-to-back home races, the Kansas rowing team heads to Oak Ridge, Tenn., Friday and Saturday (April 14-15) for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship. The races will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The two-day event will held on Melton Hill Lake’s 2,000-meter race course. Kansas will compete against teams from Tampa, Wake Forest, Clemson, Georgia State, Florida Tech, Purdue, Cincinnati, North Carolina, SMU, Northwestern State, Miami, Tulsa, Louisville and Kansas State.

Last week, Kansas took the First Varsity Eight race as it hosted the Kansas Cup against Kansas State.
