Weather Causes Schedule Changes for Kansas-Texas Series
April 13, 2012
LAWRENCE, Kan. – A stormy Sunday forecast has prompted adjustments to the Kansas softball team’s weekend series against No. 5 Texas.
Originally scheduled as a three-game series, impending weather will now cause games one and two to be played as a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. Game two will follow at approximately 7 p.m. The series finale, originally slated for Sunday, will now be played on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Without the Sunday game, Kansas Athletics and the Lawrence Humane Society’s Bark in the Park promotion will be moved to Sunday, April 22 when the Jayhawks host Iowa State. Fans can bring their dog to Arrocha Ballpark with a donation to LHS.
Live audio of all three games will still be available on AT&T Jayhawk All-Access. Further weather updates throughout the weekend will be posted to kuathletics.com. Updates can also quickly be found by following JayhawkSoftball on Twitter.
