The Jayhawks and Tigers will meet in a non-conference game at the home park of the Kansas City Royals at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21 in the first of four meetings during the 2010 season. The Border Showdown rivals have met 320 times on the baseball diamond, dating back to 1894, making it one of the oldest rivalries in all of college baseball.

Kauffman Stadium is one of the most picturesque ballparks in the major leagues. Opened in 1973, the stadium has been home to the Kansas City Royals for 37 seasons. The stadium completed a massive $250 million dollar renovation project in 2009, making the venue one of the most fan-friendly sites in major league baseball.
