OMAHA, Neb. –

Junior Monica Dolinsky scored a pair of goals to lead Kansas soccer past South Dakota, 5-0 Saturday in Omaha, Neb., in the final game of the team’s spring season.

The Jayhawks finish the spring at 2-1-1 against NCAA competition, taking the final two exhibition matches of the season over Arkansas and South Dakota.

KU enjoyed its best offensive day of the spring as Dolinsky, the team’s leading scorer from a year ago, tallied a pair of goals, while Kelsey Clifton, Kaitlyn Cunningham and Erin Lewis also scored for the Jayhawks.

Redshirt freshman Kat Liebetrau earned the shutout in net. Liebetrau and the KU defense did not allow a goal in the final two contests of the spring.

The Jayhawks will open the regular season on Aug. 28 against Pepperdine in Knoxville, Tenn.
