LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Despite a goal from junior Rachel Morris, Kansas soccer fell to South Dakota State, 2-1, in a spring exhibition soccer match Saturday at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

The Jayhawks fall to 1-3 during the spring season.

Morris, who scored a career-high three goals during the 2009 season, tallied her first goal this spring. However, the Jackrabbits tallied a pair of first half goals – including an own goal – to stop Kansas.

KU will wrap up its spring schedule with a pair of matches in Minneapolis next weekend. The Jayhawks will face Minnesota at 11:15 a.m., before tangling with Iowa at 2 p.m.
